Emerging Photography Contender: Reinhard Nadrchal

For The World Looks Different Through a Mirror, Austrian photographer Reinhard Nadrchal uses mirrored reflections to distort and reconfigure haunting and solitary landscapes

Writes Nadrchal in his Artist Statement, “Mirrors are used to fulfill our expectations. They reflect our well-known environments. But looking into them more consciously might also provide strong contrasts. Wide nature may become fenced; light might become darkness; viewing angles can change dramatically. This work in progress is looking for counter points in our world's visions.”

Each week, Feature Shoot editors showcase the work of one photographer who has applied to the Emerging Photography Awards in order to highlight the diverse array of applications we receive. This is not an endorsement of the photographer for the award.

Apply to the Feature Shoot 2015 Emerging Photography Awards here. It pays to apply early, as we will be featuring some of our favorite submissions right here and over our social media channels.
