EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHY CONTENDER: NETA DROR

Israeli photographer Neta Dror’s work focuses on female representation, or lack of it, in the Jewish religion and in the public space of the Israeli culture. Her series 15/20 portrays six rebellious, strong minded 15 year old friends who she met in Jerusalem in 2011. In 2016 she looked for these six girls again, with the help of social media. She found that though their faces were familiar, their lives had changed beyond recognition.
