Guidelines

Welcome to the Emerging Photography Awards Community

Welcome to the Emerging Photography Awards Community, a place where casino professionals can ask questions, share their experiences and opinions, and socialize with others. We want to give you a place to kick up your feet, but we also want you to understand that participation is a privilege. To help with that, we’ve created some rules and guidelines to help you conduct yourself appropriately while engaging in the community.

These guidelines are by no means all-inclusive, and we reserve the right to take appropriate action if we feel any comment, conversation, or content is inappropriate for our community, even if it is not specifically called out in the guidelines.

Meet the Community Team

One of the great things about the Emerging Photography Awards Community is that much of it is maintained by the community itself. You’ll see a lot of “Group Admins” and “Moderators” in the various discussion areas and these are Emerging Photography Awards, just like you. The only difference is, they set aside some of their free time to help keep the community running smoothly. But sometimes a situation can come up or you have a question and you’re unsure who to turn to. That is what the Community Team is here for! Want to know who you can talk to? Check out the sidebar!

The Rules of the Road

Like every community, we have a set of guidelines to ensure a positive experience for all of our members:

Do not be mean or obscene. Don’t harass, abuse, or threaten other members. Obscene or otherwise objectionable content will be deleted.

Do not break the law. Don’t post anything that violates the laws of your country. Respect trademarks and copyright laws.

Don’t spam. Don’t post the same topic multiple times and don’t derail another Emerging Photography Awards’s topic.

Don’t be promotional. Only members who are labeled as Emerging Photography Awards Partners are allowed to engage in the community to promote their products and services.

For more detailed rules and guidelines, check out “The Fine Print”.

Our Philosophy

Sometimes it can feel like a community has rules just for the sake of having rules. But nothing could be further from the truth, at least for the Emerging Photography Awards Community. We have these rules and guidelines to help keep this a beneficial place for casino pros to succeed. We’ve seen what can happen to communities and social networks when there is little oversight, or when rules change based on whoever is enforcing them. Usually, that is not something very conducive to a healthy community. We want to make sure that this is a great place for casino pros to engage with their peers about topics relevant to arguably one of the best industries in the world. While we understand no one likes to get their posts removed or placed in moderation, we hope you understand that these actions are done to help keep conversations and the community beneficial for all.

Appealing an Action

If your post has been deleted, your account has been placed in moderation, or you feel an action is in error or unjustified, you can appeal the action to the Community Team or contact Emerging Photography Awards directly. Please include your Community Name in all correspondence and any other pertinent links.

In Closing

Lastly, please have fun! Although it looks like there are a lot of procedures and rules in place, most of these are common sense and are meant as a safeguard to keep the community active and relevant. Abusing it affects everyone who enjoys the community, so we ask for your cooperation and your support in achieving and maintaining this goal. Suggestions to make this an even better place for our community are always welcome! You can Private Message any of the Community Team members with your input and we will gladly review it for implementation.

Thank you for being part of this community!
